New metallographic laboratory project

At Quálites we love to help companies develop new projects with our machines. On this occasion we have collaborated with @AIJU supplying equipment for their new metallographic laboratory.

“The equipment is part of a new metallographic laboratory in AIJU’s Manufacturing Lab to study the microstructure of novel materials. These materials are used in metal additive manufacturing in the selective laser melting (SLM) process. The investments have been acquired within the GVA Line to enhance the capacity and activity of AIJU to develop excellence in R&D, disseminate the results of the research carried out and facilitate and promote the transfer of knowledge to companies in the Valencian Community in 2021, for the “New Materials” line. LAMPLAN’s SmartLam 3.0 automatic polishing machine was chosen for sample preparation. This equipment incorporates an automatic polishing head with individual pressure that will ensure a homogeneous and quality polishing of the samples. For the inspection of the samples we have chosen the Axiovert A1 inverted microscope from Zeiss, which will allow an optimal analysis of the structure through its ZEN software.
