The RSD MAG hardness tester is a portable digital hardness tester with a manual drive for an automatic test cycle with direct hardness reading. Thanks to its magnetic clamping base it is possible to carry out hardness tests on very large samples directly in the production area. Operational up to 360° degrees of positioning, even upside down.

Load forces are applied through a dynamometric load cell that eliminates the problems associated with dead weight systems on traditional instruments. It is not affected by any external source of vibration, and does not need to be leveled. Fixing is secure on any surface, round or flat, the indenter is self-aligning with the measuring axis.

LCD display, user-friendly interface, real-time statistics and graphics, and large file storage. This hardness tester guarantees the highest accuracy and repeatability in every measurement. Laboratory or in-situ hardness tests on tubes, profiles, valves and bulky or small parts. For all metals: iron, steel, mild steel, cast iron, brass, aluminum, copper and metal alloys. Including heat treatment, hardening, nitriding, case hardening and surface hardening.
